'The Mount', Mumbles - Rooms with a View!

The Mount has one of the best positions in Mumbles, situated in a quite location with off road parking, a garden with views across Swansea Bay from the large decking area at one end, with the other end bordering the deciduous tree covered and bird rich Mumbles Hill.

Despite this quiet  location, The Mount is less than 5 minutes walk from the ‘village’ centre with its many shops, award winning restaurants and pubs, and Mumbles itself is known as the 'Gateway to the Gower'. The Gower is the UK's first designated AONB- Area of Outsatanding Natural Beauty - with many miles of unspoilt sandy beaches washed by the Atlantic surf.

There are only 2-3 letting rooms at present and all are large rooms with sea views across the bay. We assure you of personal, high quality, flexible  and friendly service with numerous literature on local and natural history, suggestions on places to visit and activities utilising the knowledge and expertise of the owner, a former innovative Tourism and Leisure researcher, academic and consultant whose work included devising the route and marketing plan for the Celtic Trail, part of Wales' Sustrans Millenium cycle network., which is only 2 miles from The Mount and  can be joined via a segregated cycle path running along the edge of the shore.

There is free wireless broadband access, a lounge with Sky TV and DVD player, and each room has a small flat screen TV with freeview, clock radio and alarm, tea and coffee making provision. Cycles are available for use free of charge and car free guests are welcome and can be transported to and from Swansea Inter city station at cost price.

An unusual extra  surprise is an LGB based digital  G scale garden railway which to date - though still under construction- has proved very popular with guests of all ages and sexes, who didn't want to be a train driver at some time?! Photos of the rooms and garden are being uploaded.
